Kaniela Laughing at Daddy...

We caught Kaniela laughing at Daddy today.  For some reason he thinks I'm funny.  Also, if you haven't seen the pictures we posted on our picture blog yet, you should check it out.  We have awesome ones from earlier today.

**Sigh**

Well we did it.. We got moved! We are so lucky to live in such a great place, our old apartment was great, but we are so excited for our new place! It has a little more room, a master bedroom (which I've always wanted) and it has a HUGE storage room, which we totally need... I wish I knew where my camera was, I would have taken pictures and posted them with this post..

We (me, kevin, my mom and dad) spent the whole day moving. Dad and Kevin took turns filling shopping carts (we borrowed from the maintenance staff), taking them to the new place, emptying them, heading back... While my mom and I cleaned to old place... As we all took turns doing Kaniela duty! What a long day,  my parents didn't leave until after 10... 

So I'm sitting here in the new apartment, surrounding by all our stuff and the two Misters are sleeping and I feel like just sighing... Mostly because now I have to put all this stuff away, but also because it's the start of a new place, which I'm really excited about!

So thanks to Mom and Dad's help, we for sure couldn't have done it with out you all!

A Start of Something New....

We've been borrowing my sister-in-law's camera for the past week.  I had to work on a project for work and needed to take a bunch of pictures.  I've been wanting to get a nice digital SLR for a while, as photography has been something I've wanted to get into for a while.  I'm currently saving money to purchase one and am a few months away from getting it.  

Anyways, I've decided that I'd combine to passions: my aspiration to understand photography, and my family in a blog.

A Mommy's Touch

Sometimes at night Kaniela gets restless and squirms a ton.  When we lay our hands on his stomach, he tends to calm down, and it is the cutest thing.

I'm borrowing my sister-in-law's camera this week for a project at work, and we were just fooling around with the auto settings and stuff tonight and we snapped this picture.  It ain't nothing spectacular (photography wise), but it says a whole lot about how much Kaniela loves his mommy!

We think that Kaniela looks more like a little boy than a baby in this picture.... and doesn't he just look so cute?!

Kaniela got a little tired of his stroller so we had to buy him some new wheels!  As you can tell he's not quite sure how he feels about them.

We play together like this practically every morning now!

He began to grab now.  Super cute!

He really likes Disney shows, basketball and Sportscenter.  I couldn't be happier with his selection!

How to make the best cake EVER!

I finally got my Mother's Day present today.. We've been waiting for it to come in the mail.. 

I thought I better blog about it.. Don't worry, you all will want one after you get done reading this.. SO.. this is how you make...

THE BEST CAKE EVER!

Step 1. Get the microwave rice cooker from Pampered Chef.

Step 2. Get the ingredients.

Step 3. put in the ingredients.

Step 4. Mix it all up.

Step 5. Put drops of frosting all over the top.

Step 6. Put the lid on.

Step 7. Put it in the microwave.

Step 8. Cook for 8 minutes.

Step 9. MMMM You think this looks good!

Step 10. Look at this amazing Lava Cake.. Martha Stewart, eat your heart out!

Step 11. Serve with ice cream!

Step 12... ENJOY!

Our Little Muscle Man....

We can't believe how fast Kaniela is growing. He is getting so strong and is becoming our little muscle man. I won't bore you with words, but here are just a fun things for you to look at to see how we're training him in strength and balance...his athletic training is starting young.

I snapped this picture this morning! I thought it was so cute and thought I would blog real quick before I get going for the day. Kaniela and Kevin are so much a like. They look a like, they have the same facial expressions... And as you can see they even sleep alike! I am so excited to see the similarities as Kaniela gets older! Who knows, maybe he'll start flapping his feet! :)
