It amazes me how fast time can go without you ever noticing. It's hard for me to believe that Cea and I have been in New York for about three weeks, and my internship is almost half done. It truly has been an amazing experience for us, and something that we will never forget. We've been able to experience and see a lot together and have loved every second of it. Here are some of our highlights so far. If you look on the right sidebar, you will see a "links" section. In that section their is a link to our Picasa account which will allow you to view more photos of our time here. Please visit and enjoy what we've been able to do. I think that this first picture pretty much sums up our feelings about the city.....we LOVE IT! This as pretty cool. We were walking to find F.A.O. Schwarz (more about that place later) and we came across this. This is a famous Andy Warhol piece, and it was a kind of a fun thing to run across!

Okay, this picture may not seem like a whole from the outset...just a bunch of Harry Potter figures. This was probably one of my favorite parts about F.A.O. Schwarz. For those of you who don't know, F.A.O. is a world famous toy store. In fact, if you're a Tom Hanks fan you'll remember that in the 80s, he did a movie called "Big". In it, he was basically a young kid stuck in an adult's body. Well, in the movie he plays a huge piano in which you don't really "play", more or less you "dance" on the piano (more pictures about that later). But this right here, are life-size statues of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hagrid made out of Legos. Now for those who don't know, I loved legos when I was a little kid. I guess you can say this is also my shout out to Russell who also was a Lego freak when he was younger. We took a bunch of pictures in honor of him and thought the entire time, "we have got to bring Russell here." Russ, if you're reading, you should see the amazing Lego toys they have now. They also had life-size Lego statues of Hermoine, Darth Vader, Chewy and R2D2... talk about heaven for Russell.. Star Wars+Legos!

Okay, this by far, has got to be one of the coolest things that we've seen here in NYC. I know, all of you are thinking, "Kev, you're in New York and the coolest thing you saw was two girls dancing?"
This is the "Big Piano" that Tom Hanks played "Chopsticks" and "Heart and Soul" on in "Big". The keys are about 12 inches thick each, and they are played by stepping on them. On the weekends every half-hour, they do a show. They started off in honor of Tom Hanks by playing his two songs, then they got a little more creative and entertaining. They started off by playing "Fur Elise" by Beethoven, and that was pretty cool, but then they ended by playing two songs that are hard enough to play with 10 fingers, and they did it with four feet (and an occasional hand). They played J.S. Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" and also "The Hungarian Rhapsody" by Frank Liszt. If you want to see them, you can find them on youtube. It was pretty darn amazing!

This is the last picture or tonight...I'm tired and I'll post more later, but please click on the link on the sidebar to our other pictures. This one isn't special just kind of cool, and again we thought that Russell would love it....it's Cea and her dream car, the Smart Car!
It probably suits Becky and Tim more than me because of the size, and well the name...SMART... I should probably drive one of those HEAVY duty trucks! Too bad there's not a car that's called the "chubby and awkward" it'd be very fitting (I guess you have to be in the family to understand that joke)!
Thanks for Wundering with us!
