We're supposed to have a baby this week.

It's pretty crazy to think that if Cea would have been on schedule for Kaniela, we would be having him this week. We were both commenting today about how uncomfortable she probably would've been, and we've had a few people say, "Oh, you're so lucky, you missed the worst part of it!"

We feel very lucky that things worked out they way it did. Kaniela is a major cute baby, and we're so grateful that he is healthy. When we think that we had a "premature" baby, we feel that we came off pretty easy. They say that a baby usually grows one pound per week for the last five weeks or so, that means Kaniela would have been a 10 pound baby. The thought of that makes us both feel a little grateful that we had him as early as we did.

He continues to get more and more active. Let me list some of the fun things that he's up to. I've mentioned them in previous blog posts, but here's a list of our top ten favorite things about Kaniela:

1. He's growing stronger and stronger and loves to head butt daddy when he is being burped.
2. He does pull ups when he's lying on your lap. Hold your fingers out, and he'll grab them and pull himself up.
3. He loves to make you think that he's done pooping, then when you're changing him, he'll give you a surprise.
4. He's like his daddy; he flaps his feet when he sleeps (that's actually something he learned in the womb).
5. Late at night, he'll cry and cry, then once he farts, he's fast asleep (that's probably standard for most babies, but when he does it, it is just so cute).
6. He's gracious enough to only wake up twice in a night.
7. When you're changing his diaper late and night, he gets rather fussy. It's actually so cute because he cries and kicks as if he's trying to run away from the mean diaper changer!
8. When he's just chilling with his pacifier, he'll reach up with both hands and cup it tight to his mouth.
9. When he sleeps, it looks like he's basking in the sun...arms back behind his head like he's tanning.
